weekly yoga class
  teacher training students: 68 hours
  immersion students: 68 hours

Please take a weekly class at amrita. If you do not live in the Portland area, choose a teacher in your area that you would like to take weekly classes with and fill out a "local teacher" form located in the back of your packet (or at the amrita office). This way Sarahjoy can monitor your progress and you can establish a consistent relationship with one teacher in your hometown.

NOTE: Sarahjoy's Sunday workshops entitled "Awareness and Alignment" and "Beyond Asana" are a part of her weekly class schedule. Immersion and Teacher Training students are encouraged to take one or both of these classes the Sunday after each monthly Saturday Session. These classes, as well as any other weekly class offered at amrita, fulfill the weekly class requirement.

FYI, the 68 hour total was reached by assuming a 1.5 hour class for every week of the training year (not quite a full year).
